After an arduous qualifying campaign in January’s 2017 FUT Champions Weekend League, the top 32 competitors from North, Central, and South America are gathering in Vancouver, Canada, for the Season 2 Regional Final, to try and earn their way to the 2017 FIFA Ultimate Team Championship in Berlin on May 19 and 20.
In Season 1’s Americas regional, the South American competitors proved to be a dominant force. The top four competitors in the tournament came from countries in the Southern hemisphere, including two Brazilians meeting in the Grand Final in Miami in front of a raucous crowd.
There, Rafael “Rafifa13” Fortes emerged victorious, lifting the regional title and securing his spot against the best players from around the world at the FIFA Ultimate Team Championship in Germany. After his triumph in Miami at the Regional Final, the Brazilian went on to sign a professional contract with European giants Paris Saint-Germain eSports.
Now it’s time to crown a second 2017 Americas Regional Champion and to name the remaining competitors joining Rafifa13 in Berlin. It’s all part of the quest to find the best FIFA competitor in the world.
