Europe Season 2 Players To Watch (PlayStation 4 Division)

The Europe Regional Finals of the FIFA Ultimate Team Championship Series move from the French capital of Paris to the Spanish capital of Madrid on Saturday, May 6. This will be the last event in this stage of the competition and it will define the final competitors who will qualify for the Ultimate Team Championship in Berlin.

Thirty-two players from all over Europe including Italy, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Belgium, France and the United Kingdom. In addition to winning a piece the $100,000 USD cash prize and the pride of being named one of the best FIFA players in the world, these players will battle for a chance to clinch one of the eight spots remaining spots for the Ultimate Team Championship in Berlin.

Contrary to the Xbox One division, the PlayStation 4 player roster features several players making their debut in the Ultimate Team Championship Series. Here are some you should follow their journey throughout the tournament:

August “Agge” Rosenmeier

August “Agge” Rosenmeier has traveled a long way since competing in his first tournament, the Nordic FIFA Interactive World Cup (FIWC), back in 2010. Since then, he's racked up an impressive resume that includes wins at DreamHack and FIWC in Rio 2014, not to mention signing with French giants Paris Saint-Germain eSports in October of 2016.

He was pegged as one of the favourites at the Season 1 Paris Regional Final and his early elimination in the group stage was one of the main storylines from the event.

Having switched from the Xbox One to the PlayStation 4 Division for the Season 2 Regional Final in Madrid, Agge will have another opportunity to achieve his main goal: earning a ticket to Berlin and winning the FIFA Ultimate Team Championship Series.

Dani “AFC Ajax Dani” Hagebeuk

Dani “AFC Ajax Dani” Hagebeuk has a wealth of tournament experience, having competed in nearly 80 online tournaments by his count, relying on a variety of different formations, including the 4-3-2-1, 4-2-3-1, and a 4-1-2-1-2 small. With this experience and versatility, he was expecting to have a strong showing at the 2017 Paris Regional Final. But things didn't go to plan for the Amersfoot, Netherlands native, and he failed to notch a win in the Group Stage.

Switching to compete in the PlayStation 4 division, and  following a strong Season 2 qualifying campaign, he'll have a chance to make amends at the Madrid Regional Final. It will be interesting to see if his skills allow the Dutchman to overcome that last bump in the road to FIFA glory.

Bas “Bastafa” Quist

At only 20 years old, Bas “Bastafa” Quist already has 13 years of experience behind the controller of various FIFA iterations. Though the Dutchman is a relative newcomer to the FIFA competitive scene, he can already boast a third place finish in the 2016 Dutch FIFA Championship.

Bastafa put together an impressive qualification campaign that saw him climb to the third spot in the January Weekend League, clinching his ticket to Madrid.

Bastafa will arrive to the Spanish capital as a free agent but a strong showing in the tournament could increase his profile and earn him a professional contract, in addition to booking his qualification to the FIFA Ultimate Championship in Berlin.

Daniele “DIVIAPACHE” Paolucci

Daniele “DIVIAPACHE” Paolucci will be making his live competitive debut in Madrid in the Season 2 Regional Final. The 21 year old Italian surprised many when he achieved the top ranking in the January qualification month of the FUT Champions Weekend League.

The man also known as “Prinsipe,” points to his organized and disciplined defensive work as one of his most important assets. In past regional final events we have seen a trend where newcomers who perform strongly online struggle to translate that success to the live events. Strong defending will be a key if DIVIAPACHE wants to break the rule in Madrid.

Tony “TonyKokNL” Kok

Tony “TonyKokNL” Kok is a competitor who is rapidly gaining notoriety in the FIFA competitive circles. The 23-year-old Dutchman already has three back to back to back Dutch National Championships between 2012 and 2014.

TonyKokNL has also performed admirably online. With 118 wins and only 2 losses, Kok was able to qualify to Madrid as the second best player in the European region during the qualifying month of January. Will TonyKokNL continue his rapid ascension through the competitive ranks and book his trip to Berlin?
