There are plenty of high profile players to look out for, including a number professionals signed by some of the biggest teams in the world. We'll highlight five of the most intriguing players to look out for in the PS4 division as we look towards Paris.
SaLz0r
The name of Benedikt “SaLz0r” Saltzer jumped to the spotlight when he became the first FIFA player to ever sign a contract with a major club, Vfl Wolfsburg. Since then, other clubs like Manchester City, Monaco, West Ham United, AFC Ajax have followed suit signing their own players to their rosters. However, the four time German champion was already a synonym of success within FIFA competitive circles. A pro since 2009, Saltzer is one of the most experienced competitive players in the world. This experience alongside consistency at the highest level helped him qualify to Paris with a record of 153 wins and 7 losses. Saltzer is one of the favorites to lift the trophy in Paris.
II_Bruma_II
Ali Riza Aygün made a big statement when he qualified to Paris as top ranked player in the Weekend League leader boards back in November. With an impressive 157 wins and only 3 losses, II_Bruma_II automatically marked himself as a favorite in the PS4 Division if he is able to replicate his qualifying form.
The Eindhoven native is no stranger to competitive success, despite been in the competitive circuit for only two years after debuting at the eSports Festival 2015 , Aygün has already taken the titles of FIFA 16 Dutch Champion and ESL Benelux Champion in 2015 and 2016. It will be interesting to see if the Dutchman is able to perform favorably at the big stage.
BorasLegend
Ivan “BorasLegend” Lapanje has been in the FIFA competitive circle since 2010 when he made his live event debut at Dreamhack Winter. Since then, the 24-year-old has been taken the Swedish FIFA Championship three times and is currently the number one ranked player in Sweden. His strong qualification campaign that saw him earn 153 wins back in November was no surprise and Lapanje will try to lift his first trophy in Paris while representing Hashtag United after recently joining the eSports team.
Dr.Erhano
Erhan “Dr. Erhano” Kayman completed a solid qualifying campaign back in November and he secured his ticket to Paris by placing 8th in the leader board with 153 wins. The STARK eSports player juggles Law School alongside his competitive career and he still finds time to boast with resume with a third place finish in the 2015 ESWC as well as five top 8 finishes in the Gfinity Play Like A Legend Championships. With two German Championships in his cabinet, Kayman is definitely one to watch on February 4th.
TIMOX
Hot off the heels of his runner-up performance at ESWC 2016 where he lost in the final against Lucas “DaXe”Cuillerier from PSG eSports, Timo “TimoX” Siep is a young and exciting player who represents Vfl Wolfsburg. Despite being a professional for only two years, the Engelskirchen native already boasts two FIFA Germany titles. The Paris Regional Final will be an excellent opportunity for Siep to continue making a name for himself and to continue the upward trajectory of his young career.
