Each week FIFA Ultimate Team assembles the best players from international and club competition around the world and rewards them as part of our Team of the Week. Now, we celebrate the best players from club competition based on their performances during the course of the 2013-14 season.
This edition features the best players from Germany’s Bundesliga.
Bayern München’s Mario Mandzukic and Borussia Dortmund’s Robert Lewandowski are joint scoring leaders in Germany with 18 goals apiece. For the Croatian Mandzukic, his second season in Munich also saw him earn four assists in 29 league appearances. Meanwhile, Lewandowski’s final season in Dortmund before moving to Munich saw a slight decrease from last year’s 24 goal output.
Schalke 04’s Ralf Fährmann and Bayer 04 Leverkusen’s Bernd Leno have been the top goalkeepers in Germany and reasons why both their clubs sit near the top of the league table. For the 25 year-old Fährmann, he has 11 clean sheets in 21 league matches. Leno has seven clearn sheets and has appeared in every match this season. Thanks to their fine performances, both have the potential of being called up to Germany’s FIFA World Cup squad as back-ups.
