Boasting the deepest, most explosive talent pool of any MMA organization on the planet, the UFC has built its reputation on showcasing the best and brightest athletes that mixed martial arts has to offer. This spring, EA SPORTS UFC will do the same.

Tyron Woodley

Owner of some of the heaviest hands in the UFC’s ultra-competitive Welterweight division, Tyron Woodley made his professional MMA debut in February of 2009, opening up his career with an impressive 10-0 run. Since arriving the UFC in 2013, Woodley has won three of five bouts that include victories over Josh Koscheck and most recently top contender Carlos Condit. All of The Chosen One’s UFC wins have come by way of KO/TKO. Firmly planted in the division’s Top 10, Woodley will be looking to bounce back from a loss to Rory MacDonald with a decisive victory over his next opponent, Dong Hyun Kim when they face off in Macau, and work his way up to a shot at the title in the near future.

UFC fans were first introduced to TJ Dillashaw as a member of Team Bisping on season 14 of The Ultimate Fighter in 2011. Despite losing the in the finale to current Flyweight contender John Dodson, Dillashaw went on to win five of his next six bouts in the UFC’s Bantamweight division. Displaying constant improvement in each of his Octagon appearances, Dillashaw pulled off one of the most spectacular upsets in UFC history when he dominated Renan Barao for five rounds, bringing the Brazilian’s nearly decade-long unbeaten streak to an end and claiming the Bantamweight title. Dillashaw will be looking showcase the same well-rounded skillset that won him the belt during his highly anticipated rematch with Barao at UFC 177.

 

Takeya Mizugaki

Making the jump to the UFC in March of 2011, Mizugaki has won seven of nine fights since joining the organization and is currently riding a five-fight win streak that includes victories over Bryan Caraway, Erik Perez and Francisco Rivera. Boasting a style showcases some of the Bantamweight division’s top striking, Mizugaki has scored five of his career wins by KO and another by submission. Aiming to extend his win streak to six, Mizugaki will look to make a statement at UFC 178 when he steps into the Octagon with former Bantamweight kingpin Dominick Cruz.

Sarah Kaufman

An MMA veteran who has been fighting as a professional since 2006, Canadian Sarah Kaufman began her pro career in style, building an impressive 12-0 record out of the gate that included wins over Shayna Baszler, Alexis Davis and Miesha Tate. A well-rounded fighter and former Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champion, Kaufmann made her UFC debut in a bout against Jessica Eye at UFC 166 in October of 2013. Possessing a knack for getting the job done whenever she competes, Kaufman hasn’t lost a bout since 2012 when she faced current UFC champ Ronda Rousey.

Alexis Davis

Boasting one of the strongest ground games in her division, Davis has finished seven win by submission. Davis’ last loss came against fellow Canadian Sarah Kaufman in a bout widely regarded as one of the best in women’s MMA history. Currently riding a five fight winning streak, Davis earned herself a shot at the UFC title and will go toe-to-toe with Ronda Rousey at UFC 175.

Darren Uyenoyama

After suffering back-to-back losses for the first time in his career to Joseph Benavidez and Alptekin Ozkilic, Uyenoyama will be looking to rebound with a win in his next bout.

Most UFC fight fans will recognize Louis “Goodnight” Gaudinot from his stint on Season 14 of The Ultimate Fighter as a member of Team Bisping. Riding a four-fight win streak in the lead up to TUF 14, Gaudinot made his official UFC debut against Johnny Beford in December of 2011 on the show’s season finale. Most recently posting a submission win over Phil Harris in London at UFC Fight Night: Gustafsson vs. Manuwa, the one-time UFC Fight of the Night winner will look to continue climbing the Flyweight ladder the next time he steps back inside the Octagon.

Brian Bowles

Beginning his career with an eight-fight winning streak, Bowles is no stranger to finishing his fights, earning six career wins by submission and another three by knockout. Former owner of the WEC Bantamweight strap, Bowles made his UFC debut in 2011 following a loss to Cruz in a WEC Championship bout.

BJ “The Prodigy” Penn has accomplished a lot over the course of a storied pro MMA career that began back at UFC 31 in May of 2001. One of the sport’s most feared fighters on the mat and one of Hawaii’s most popular athletes, Penn has competed across multiple weight classes and remains the only fighter to this day to hold titles in both the UFC’s Lightweight and Welterweight divisions. The first non-Brazilian to win a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world-title at the black belt level, Penn earned his BJJ black belt in only three years and his nickname in the process. Not having competed since a 2012 loss to Rory MacDonald, Penn will make his return to the Octagon to complete his trilogy against Frankie Edgar following their coaching stints on Season 19 of The Ultimate Fighter.

Dustin Poirier

Currently riding a three-fight win streak, Poirier now sits at No.6 in the UFC Featherweight division’s Top 10 rankings.

Utilizing an aggressive style inside the Octagon that allows him to be successful both on his feet and on the mat, most fight fans will remember Maynard for going up against Frankie Edgar in what is widely considered one of the greatest trilogies in UFC history. Losing back-to-back bouts for the first time in his career in 2013, Maynard will look to bounce back with a win over Fabricio Camoes at UFC 176.

Ross Pearson

One of the UK’s most talented fighters, Pearson has proven his ability as a solid finisher, winning six bouts in his pro career with KO/TKOs and another four by way of submission. Following a No Contest decision against Melvin Guillard and a controversial decision loss to Diego Sanchez, Pearson will be looking to bounce back with a win in his next bout. He has never lost two consecutive fights in his career.

Tarec Saffiedine

Arriving in the UFC as Strikeforce’s last Welterweight Champion, Tarec Saffiedine didn’t waste any time making a statement with his new organization, winning Fight of the Night honors in a victory over Hyun Gyu Lim in Singapore. A well-rounded fighter currently riding a five-fight win streak, Saffiedine boasts some of the best leg kicks in his division and has earned five of his victories by submission and one by knockout. Having not lost a bout since 2011, Saffiedine will look to pick up where he left off the next time he steps into the Octagon, trying to log a sixth-straight win and continue to work his way up the rankings towards the UFC Welterweight title.

Nick Diaz

Following a loss to K.J. Noons in 2007, Diaz proceeded to go on an 11-fight win streak that saw him capture and defend the Strikeforce Welterweight title before making his return to the UFC with a Fight of the Night victory over BJ Penn in November of 2011. Diaz’s personality along with some of the best boxing and conditioning in his division have helped him become a long-time fan favorite with a reputation for putting on exciting fights. Thirteen of Diaz’s 27 victories have come by way of KO/TKO, while scoring another 8 by submission.

Anderson Silva

Widely considered to be the best fighter to ever compete in the UFC or any other organization, Anderson “The Spider” Silva owns one of the most dominant runs of any champion in MMA history, defending his Middleweight title a record 10 times. An elusive fighter and a highly creative striker, Silva set the record for most consecutive wins in the UFC with 16. Precise and devastating in his attacks, The Spider has only gone past the second round four times in his career while earning a staggering 22 wins by KO/TKO and another four by submission. Following a leg injury sustained in his most recent bout with Chris Weidman, Silva plans to make his return to the Octagon in early 2015. He remains tied for most post-fight bonuses in UFC history with 12.

Antonio Rogerio Nogueira

The twin brother of former UFC Heavyweight champ Minotauro Nogueira, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira began his professional MMA career back in 2001 with three consecutive wins. Winner of nine of his last 11 fights, Nogueira has gone up against some of MMA’s top talent over the years, squaring off against the likes of Dan Henderson, Shogun, Rashad Evans and Tito Ortiz. Primarily known for his striking inside the Octagon, Nogueira has no issues with finishing his fights on the ground and owns six submission wins to go along with his six wins by KO/TKO.

Antonio Silva

Antonio Silva, more commonly known to fight fans around the world as “Bigfoot” has been fighting professionally since 2005 when he kicked off his MMA career by going putting together a 7-0 record out of the gate. Extremely large and undeniably powerful, Silva owns some of the most powerful strikes in the Heavyweight division as is evidenced by his 14 career KO/TKO finishes. Silva made his UFC debut in 2012, facing off against current champ Cain Velasquez before going on to earn two impressive knockouts over Travis Browne and Alistair Overeem.

Chris Weidman

Beginning his pro MMA career in February of 2009, Chris Weidman submitted his first opponent in just over a minute-and-a-half and never looked back. Boasting some of the Middleweight division’s most dangerous wrestling and a standup game built on applying constant pressure, Weidman has yet to lose a bout in professional competition. After going 5-0 upon entering the UFC he was awarded a title shot against long-time Middleweight king Anderson Silva whom he defeated twice to become the new champion and earn Knockout of the Year honors in the process. With Silva now in his rear-view mirror Weidman will look to extend his undefeated streak against Lyoto Machida at UFC 175.

Luke Rockhold

While his debut with the organization may not have gone as planned as he suffered a KO at the hands of Vitor Belfort, Rockhold has looked unstoppable since, dominating Costas Philippou and Tim Boetsch with first-round TKOs and submissions respectively. Clear about his goal to claim the UFC Middleweight strap, Rockhold continues to make a case for a title shot as he climbs the division rankings.

A consummate striker, Barry boasted one-punch knockout power as is evidenced in his two Knockout of the Night and two Fight of the Night honors awarded to him during his time in the UFC.

Cat Zingano

A constant threat in all areas of a fight, Zingano has posted four wins by knockout and another three by submission, going the distance only once in her eight-fight pro career. Following her 2013 start in the UFC – an impressive Fight of the Night win over former Strikeforce Champion Miesha Tate – Zingano was shelved by a serious knee injury, but will look to keep her win streak alive the next time she steps back into the Octagon.

Daniel Cormier

After debuting in the Octagon as a Heavyweight and putting together consecutive wins over Frank Mir and Roy Nelson, DC transitioned to the UFC’s Light Heavyweight division where he remained undefeated with victories over Patrick Cummins and Dan Henderson. With a spotless record under his belt and arguably some of the best wrestling in the organization, expect to see Cormier fighting for a UFC title sooner than later.

Wasting no time hitting her stride, McMann kicked off her pro career with seven consecutive victories including wins over veteran Shayna Baszler as well as Sheila Gaff in her UFC debut. Following her TKO victory over Gaff at UFC 159, McMann squared off against Ronda Rousey for the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Title and was handed the first loss of her career. One of the most physically powerful athletes competing in her division, McMann will look to bounce back with a win in her next bout.

Michael McDonald

One of Europe’s most popular fighters, “The Notorious” Conor McGregor began his pro MMA career in March of 2008, racking up a 12-2 record before making his UFC debut with a win over Marcus Brimage in 2013, scoring a TKO just over a minute into the first round. Outspoken and always entertaining, McGregor has ended 10 of his 14 wins with first-round finishes and is currently riding a 10-fight win streak that began back in 2011. Out of action since tearing his ACL during a win over Max Holloway, McGregor will get the chance to make his return to the Octagon in front of a hometown crowd when he faces of against Diego Brandao at July’s UFC Fight Night in Dublin.

Eddie Wineland

Arriving in the UFC by way of the WEC where he enjoyed a stint as the first-ever WEC Bantamweight Champion, Eddie Wineland has been competing professionally in MMA since April of 2003. Boasting solid knockout power, 12 of Wineland’s 21 wins have come via KO, with another four coming by way of submission. On the heels of a Fight of the Night performance against Scott Jorgensen and a decision win over Brad Pickett, Wineland faced off against Bantamweight Champion Renan Barao for the UFC title at UFC 165 in 2013, dropping the bout with a second round loss. He is currently ranked No.5 in the UFC’s Bantamweight division.

Vitor Belfort

When it comes to longevity in an MMA career, it’s hard to do much better than Vitor “The Phenom” Belfort. Still very much in the mix to claim a UFC title, Belfort made his UFC debut all the way back in 1997 at UFC 12 where he emerged at the winner of that Heavyweight tournament. After facing Jon Jones for the title at Light Heavyweight, Belfort dropped down to Middleweight where he rattled off three consecutive Knockout of the Night wins over Michael Bisping, Luke Rockhold and Dan Henderson. Winner of 10 of his last 12 bouts and boasting 17 of his 21 career wins by KO, Belfort has shown no signs of slowing down in his near-20-year career.

Urijah Faber

Largely responsible for helping put MMA’s lighter divisions on the map, former WEC Featherweight Champion Urijah “The California Kid” Faber remains one of the most popular fighters competing in the sport today. Currently fighting as a Bantamweight in the UFC, Faber recently enjoyed a dominant 2013, winning all four of his bout – with three wins coming by submission – before dropping a championship fight against Renan Barao which he accepted on short notice. Known for his ever-positive attitude and approach to MMA, the Team Alpha Male staple will be looking get his next run a belt kicked off as soon as possible.

Frankie Edgar

A fan-favorite and one of the most durable fighters to ever step into the Octagon, Frankie “The Answer” Edgar has been competing in the UFC since February of 2007. With a well-earned reputation for putting on exciting fights, Edgar boasts seven Fight of the Night bonuses, tying him with Diego Sanchez for the most in the organization’s history. A former UFC Lightweight Champion, Edgar logged two successful title defenses and one title retention before eventually losing to Benson Henderson and dropping down to Featherweight. Edgar’s trilogy against rival Gray Maynard is considered one of the best in the history of the UFC. The New Jersey native will complete the second trilogy of his career when he faces off against BJ Penn following their coaching stints on Season 19 of The Ultimate Fighter.

Alistair Overeem

With an MMA career dating all the way back to 1999, Alistair “The Reem” Overeem has competed in 51 professional bouts under the banner of multiple organizations, mounting 37 victories in that time. A well-rounded fighter boasting some of the most devastating kicks in the UFC’s Heavyweight division, Overeem has displayed an affinity for finishing fights over the course of his career, logging 19 wins by submission and 15 by KO, going the distance in only three of his pro victories. After having a 12-fight undefeated streak snapped by back-to-back losses to Antonio Silva and Travis Browne, Overeem recently got himself back on the right track with a convincing win over veteran Heavyweight Frank Mir.
