This week’s NHL 13: American Hockey League Sim of the Week takes us to the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina. Tonight at 7:00pm ET, the Lake Erie Monsters face off against the Charlotte Checkers, with both teams struggling as of late.

The game was a heated affair from the get-go, but it was the Checkers who struck first with Dalpe scoring in the early stages of the 1^st period. The Monsters answered with a tally from Van Der Gulik, before Checkers’ Forward Terry sealed the deal by burying one in the 3^rd period.

Three Stars

Charlotte goaltender Justin Peters grabs 1^st star with a 34 save performance, good for a .971 SV%. Terry and Dalpe’s goal a piece were good enough to secure them the 2^nd and 3^rd stars, respectively.
