AHL Online Roster Update Available Now!
Hey there hockey fans! Today we’ve released a roster update for American Hockey League (AHL) teams. The roster update includes the addition of much-requested AHL young star Justin Schultz of the Oklahoma City Barons. Schultz comes into as one of the highest rated rookies in the game’s history.
Why NHL players weren’t Duplicated on or Moved to AHL teams
When you download the roster update, you’ll notice that NHL stars playing in the AHL, such as Taylor Hall and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, have not been moved to or duplicated on their AHL teams.
Moving those playersfrom the NHL to the AHL was not done because many fans have expressed that they want to play online with accurate rosters for their favorite NHL teams.
Duplicating the playersso that a player like Hall would be in the Oilers’ & Barons’ lineups wasn’t an option because the roster update would negatively affect the realism of modes like Be a GM & GM Connected.
Example – Imagine if someone in a GM Connected league selected the Oilers, called up the duplicate versions of the NHL players on the Barons and their top two lines were:
Hall – RNH – Eberle
Hall – RNH – Eberle
It simply wouldn’t be fair to other players in the league.Scroll down for a full list of roster transactions.

How to Manually Make Roster Changes (Offline Only)
For players who aren’t connected online, this guide will show you how to manually update your rosters:
From the Main Menu, select ‘My NHL®13’. Next click ‘Roster Management’.
Select ‘Player Movement’.
On the left side of the ‘Player Movement’ menu, cycle to the team that has the player you want to move and then add him to the ‘Moving Block’ by pressing either (A - Xbox) or (X - PS3). Toggle over to the right side of the menu and cycle to the team that you want to move that player to. Hit (X - Xbox) or (Square - PS3) to ‘Execute Move’.
Note: You can add multiple players on the same team to the ‘Moving Block’ to speed up the process.
If you’d like to reset your rosters to default, head back to the ‘Roster Management’ section of ‘My NHL®13’ and then select ‘Set Default Rosters’.
