Beginner's Guide to Madden Ultimate Team
When you log into Madden Ultimate Team (MUT) for the very first time, there are a few key things you’ll need to know in order to start off on the right foot. Luckily, ESPN personality Trey Wingo is there to guide you step by step.

Trade Items, Collectibles, and more with fellow Ultimate Team Players
A place to stockpile extra items, players, contracts or anything else that you don’t need right now, but want to save for down the road.
Put together all types of players, collectibles, and items in order to earn upgraded players, new packs and more.
Chemistry is an important part of any team sport. As you’ll soon find out, it’s the same for Madden Ultimate Team. There are eight total chemistries to master in Ultimate Team.
Ground and Pound (GP)
Speed Run (SR)
Short Pass (SP)
Pass Rush (PR)
Run Stuff (RS)
Man Coverage (MC)
Zone Coverage (ZC)

To start you on the path to success, Madden Ultimate Team allows a one-time choice from a variety of “Team Captains” around which to build your team, and each has a specific chemistry. Once you have chosen your Captain, you will be given a starter pack to begin building the rest of your Ultimate Team.
You can set your initial lineup in two ways. You can plug in specific players in their specific positions, or, select the BEST LINEUP function in your “set line up” screen. Press either Y or Triangle and your best player Items will pop into your starting lineup and whisk you to your first Solo Challenge.
