Season Simulation Week 9

Welcome to Week Nine of the EA SPORTS NHL 13: 2012-2013 NHL Season Simulation.Simulations will be released on a weekly basis and will include top headlines, Hockey Ultimate Team Three Stars of the Week, box scores for each game, as well as standings and statistics for the league. The rosters used in the simulation will include all transactions made during the 2012 NHL Free Agency period.

Week Nine (Dec.3-9) Headlines

· Calgary Flames’ hot streak comes to an end, fall to 5^th in the Western Conference

· John Tavares returns from a lengthy injury and tallies 3 points in his first game back against the Philadelphia Flyers, leading the Islanders to a victory

· The San Jose Sharks remain red hot at the top of the NHL standings

· After Corey Schneider fell to injury, Roberto Luongo has remained solid for the Vancouver Canucks who sit in 2^nd place in the West.

Injury Report:

· Injury bug hits the already struggling Flyers:

o D. Briere (sore shoulder) & L. Schenn (neck strain) out approximately 2 weeks

o Flyers leading scorer Wayne Simmonds out 2-3 months with an MCL sprain
