Rice, Carter Face Off in Cover Vote Play-In

Jerry Rice and Cris Carter both amassed "video game numbers" during their storied NFL careers, punching their tickets to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in the process.

But only one of those Hall of Fame wide receivers can punch a ticket into the Madden NFL 25 Cover Vote, which begins today exclusively on Twitter. Rice and Carter will square off in a special play-in round to fill the final spot of the competition's "Old School" bracket.

Fans can vote for their favorite by tweeting at SportsNation (@SportsNation) using the hashtags #Madden25Rice or #Madden25Carter. It’ll be up to the fans to decide if @JerryRice or @criscarter80 has what it takes to enter this elite bracket.

The play-in winner will be announced via Twitter prior to SportsNation’s Madden NFL 25 Cover Vote kickoff show on Monday, Mar. 11 at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN2. SportsNation will then announce the full 64-player bracket, with First Round voting commencing on ESPN.com/MaddenVote.
