Hello Fight Fans!
My name is John White. I am an EA SPORTS Fight Promoter and game designer by trade. I couldn’t be more excited to talk to you about the world premiere of EA SPORTS LIVE BROADCAST. As a true gamer, I have been looking forward to this revolutionary feature for such a long time and can’t wait to share it with you, the EA SPORTS MMA Community. I have been reading the EA SPORTS MMA forums since the beginning and have an exciting fight card lined up in the premier event this week, E3: WORLDS COLLIDE.
TWO CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHTS!! Yes, two championship fights are on this card. The first fight is between STRIKEFORCE light heavyweight champion, “King Mo” Lawal and Jason Barnes, EA SPORTS MMA Creative Director, live during E3. The game team has been quite impressed with how great King Mo has been playing the game and decided it would make a fight for the ages. Game Developer versus Real-life Strikeforce Champion and this fight will be for the first ever EA SPORTS MMA Light Heavyweight title. Epic! King Mo may end up with both a Strikeforce Light Heavyweight title and an EA SPORTS MMA Light Heavyweight title!
The second fight features two EA SPORTS team members, Preston Dolinger and John Coleman. Dolinger has been cleaning house on the game team and won the Middleweight belt at our last internal tournament. He is coming into this fight to defend his belt against Coleman, a video capture guru. Coleman demanded to be a part of this fight for the last two weeks, and he really proved himself in the tune up fights leading up to the event. His love for Jacare is unprecedented, and his passion for the game made him the easy choice to be a contender for the EA SPORTS MMA Middleweight belt.
Everyone take note because you, the community, will have a chance to win these titles in future events and become an EA SPORTS MMA Champion in front of thousands of spectators. I can’t wait to find the best and most electrifying fighters in the community and help make them Virtual Athletes.
One more thing… all EA SPORTS Live Broadcasts will have Live Commentary, but this one will feature two guys you know and love, Mauro Ranallo and Jason “Mayhem” Miller. Now that is crazy exciting! I’ll be with them behind the scenes running the commentary booth.
EA SPORTS LIVE BROADCAST is an incredible experience that the team has been working on for a long time. When we ship you will be able to watch the broadcasts on the PS3, Xbox 360, or on the website. You can watch E3: WORLDS COLLIDE right here: http://www.easports.com/mma/broadcast. I’ll follow-up with my thoughts after the event airs and share my experiences at E3.
