Madden NFL All-25: FB Mike Alstott

By EA SPORTS Jul 30, 2013

To commemorate the 25th anniversary of Madden NFL, we’ve compiled the best players in Madden history with help from our EA SPORTS GameChangers.Today's reveal is full back Mike Alstott.

MIKE ALSTOTT

Though the fullback is not a particularly “sexy” position in today's NFL, Mike Alstott was a true beast in the backfield in Madden NFL 2000.

“Many hardcore Madden fans consider Alstott 'the most powerful running back of all-time.' While many Madden NFL players ignore FB, Alstott could truck over any defender, leaving many defenses powerless to stop him.” – Corey Andress

Alstott was considered The "Human Truck Stick" and a titanium wrecking ball charging out of the backfield. Defenders that stood in his path often became one with the field.

“Rated 99 overall, Mike Alstott was a virtual bowling ball in Madden NFL 2000. You could run full back dives up the middle and he would push defenders around like rag dolls.  This offensive strategy caused many broken controllers and friendships.” – Shaun Mason

"Alstott showcased his true value on the goalline. Not only could he open holes for backs like Warrick Dunn, but he was an automatic six points in the red zone on plays like the FB Dive. He is a legendary Truck Stick player." - ZFarls

"13 games later and I still haven't tackled Mike Alstott. Enough said! When playing against Alstott, you were forced to stack eight in the box." - SimFball Critic
