Madden NFL All-25: Guard Larry Allen
By EA SPORTS Aug 8, 2013
A Hall of Fame guard and longtime member of the Dallas Cowboys, Larry Allen’s appearance in Madden NFL ’95 came just before his win in Super Bowl XXX.
“Larry Allen always stuck out because of how unnaturally strong he was. If you needed someone to carve out a few yards, Allen was the guy you wanted in Madden NFL ‘95.” - Shaun Mason
Madden NFL ‘95 was the first title in the Madden NFL series to not include passing windows, making it all the more important to have solid offensive linemen keeping your quarterback upright while searching for a downfield target.
“Absolute beast!” – Zfarls
“Larry Allen was the big dog of the Cowboys offensive line in Madden NFL ‘95. The Cowboys fielded a gargantuan offensive line, but Allen showed great athleticism to go along with the size and brute strength. You could just call dive plays the entire game and run behind him for 6-8 yards per carry. Allen could have played with even the most pedestrian of running backs and made them look amazing. Playing against Larry Allen meant calling plays that would force him to block multiple players. If you sent a linebacker while he was engaged with a defensive tackle, you had a slight chance of success.” - Casey Mosier
