I’m on my way home this morning from Miami, where I’m lucky to have had the chance to spend the past few days with my two oldest kids for the Super Bowl.
I had to take a quick minute before boarding the plane to point out that our Madden NFL Super Bowl simulation has done it again. For the sixth time in seven years, our official simulation correctly picked the outcome of the Super Bowl, including an accurate prediction of Drew Brees taking home MVP honors (was there ever any doubt?!).
As you probably know, we use each team’s current roster and the latest player statistics for our simulations, which have become nearly a lock in the NFL postseason and are a testament to the overwhelming realism that we now deliver in our products. This year we accurately predicted the outcome of both the NFC and AFC Championship games within three points for each game. Last year, our Super Bowl XLIII sim had unprecedented accuracy on the final score and individual player stats.
It feels like just a few weeks ago that we helped kick off the NFL season with the launch of Madden NFL 10 in August. From our first look at the Saints in training camp as they started their journey to become Super Bowl champs, to Maurice Jones-Drew’s victory in our 16th annual Madden Bowl last Thursday, to the great drama of last night’s game, it’s been great to have been a part of another great NFL season. Congrats to our entire Madden NFL team at Tiburon for delivering another outstanding game and so many great experiences for the millions of fans in Madden Nation.
Cheers,
Peter
