Welcome back to another edition of the NBA Player Takeover here on the In the Paint Blog presented by NBA LIVE 10. Last week we featured Milwaukee’s rookie sensation Brandon Jennings as our first featured player for the NBA Player Takeover and now we’re here to announce our week two winner. For week two we have chosen another rookie that has been making a name for himself in Sacramento. With Kevin Martin injured this guy has really stepped up his game for the Kings with a string of strong performances. If you haven’t guessed already, this week’s featured player is Tyreke Evans.
The fourth pick of this year’s NBA Draft has been looking solid with Sacramento this year with a stat line of 17.1 PPG, 4.3 APG and 1.5 SPG. He has a solid all-around game for a rookie and he has already had some big performances including his 32 point performance against the Utah Jazz. If you haven’t seen him in action check out his draft day video and some highlights of him during his days at Memphis:
Take the reins with Evans when playing with him in NBA LIVE 10. He’s got good speed, a solid jump shot and can attack the basket with ease. With the latest roster update he is in as a starter so you will be in control of him right away. Here are some shots of him in action in NBA LIVE 10:

The race to become rookie of the year is looking VERY interesting. There are a solid crop of rookies this season and even though we are very early into the 2009-2010 NBA season we have already seen some breakout performances, including last week’s NBA Player Takeover winner Brandon Jennings who put up an incredible 55 points against the Golden State Warriors last week.
Keeping with the theme of Tyreke Evans being our featured player this week, send us your best highlights of Tyreke Evans in action using NBA LIVE 10 and post your highlights in our thread in the forums. The best video will be added to this entry for everyone to admire.
Tune in again next week as we feature another player for our NBA Player Takeover series. This time we will choose a player that is among the leading candidates for league MVP. Continue to follow along with us here on the In the Paint Blog and continue to play along with the NBA season with NBA LIVE 10.
