A huge thanks goes out to the devs and to the community who took part in last week’s XBOX 360 NHL 10 Community Playdate.  For nearly six hours into the evening a number of fans had a chance to play their favourite hockey game with the game makers in versus and OTP matches.

The evening started with some early one-on-one matches to get warmed up and in order to get more players in the game, not only did we invite some hockey fansite leaders to host some games, we also jumped into some team play games which was a lot of fun.

It was funny because the team was a little weary that they would get inundated with questions about NHL 11 or receive a lot of crazy feedback about the game, but by the end of the session there were tonnes of great comments by the community along with producers stating how enjoyable the experience was for community members to be able to sit with a developer and talk shop with them.  I’m sure a few of them found it quite enjoyable as well to get a win over a dev guy too!  I know I had a .500 record for the evening!

All in all, it was a great time and something that we look forward to doing for our PS3 fans in the near future as well.  Thanks to the community again for making it a great evening and we’ll look forward to doing it again!
