9th Wonder goes one on one in the Studio with EA SPORTS

When you think of prominent hip hop producers, the name 9th Wonder is often in that mix. Known for his soulful hip hop beats, he has worked with the who's who in the music scene with artists like Jay-Z, Kanye West, Destiny's Child, Wale and many others. For NBA ELITE 11 he will be producing the entire soundtrack for the game and we had the opportunity to sit down with him to not only talk about music but also his love of basketball.

NBA ELITE 11: Post Play

What's up all? It's Novell Thomas, Gameplay Producer on NBA ELITE 11... I'm going to talk about post play and what it entails this year. I'll start off by informing you all that Brady Chen (our Software Engineer who owned post play) myself and the rest of the development team heard all of your requests and suggestions for post play. Your feedback drove a good portion of the design this year. However we also had some firm design goals which had to be incorporated in to the post play design.

NBA ELITE 11: Real Physics

Hello everyone, My name is Geoff Harrower and I'm a Software Engineer working on EA Sports NBA ELITE 11. I'm very happy to have the opportunity to write a blog about the Real Physics engine we've developed this year. The term "Real Physics" can mean different things to different people, so my hope is that this blog gives you a very clear understanding of what we're doing, why we're doing it and ultimately what impact Real Physics will have on the game.

Connor Dougan Associate Producer for NBA ELITE who is responsible for gameplay. Before joining the NBA ELITE team Connor was a producer on NCAA Basketball for a number of years and was part of the development team for NBA LIVE 2005.
David Littman as producer of EA's hockey franchise is responsible for the strategic and creative direction of the game which include the NHL series and NHL 3-on-3 Arcade. A former pro goaltender, Litty played for the Buffalo Sabres and Tampa Bay Lighting organizations.
Garreth Reeder Associate Producer, NBA ELITE 11 and NHL 11. Responsible for Online, UI and Game Modes. Joined EA in 2003 as a game tester. Prior to NBA production, managed focus testing for NHL, NBA LIVE and FIFA. Favorite games include Rock Band, NBA LIVE and FIFA.
Novell Thomas Novell Thomas is a Producer on NBA ELITE who's responsible for gameplay. Prior to joining EA in 2005 was at Radical Entertainment. Novell is a former professional basketball player who also enjoys playing Madden NFL and NHL.
Ryan Santos Game Designer, NBA ELITE 11. Responsible for setting the visual targets for the franchise, integrating pop culture into the brand and ensuring that the game is authentic to its real-world counterpart. Joined EA in 1997 as a game tester and his favorite games are basketball videogames, FIFA, NHL, Halo series and Gears of War.
Sean Campbell Sean is an Assistant Producer on NBA ELITE who was responsible for the Becoming Legendary mode. Previously to being on ELITE, Sean was a producer on NCAA Basketball. Sean has been playing basketball his whole life and is also a huge hip hop fan.
Yaw Obiri-Yeboah Yaw Obiri-Yeboah is the Assistant Community Manager for both NBA ELITE and NBA JAM. Prior to joining EA in 2007, Yaw had a university sports radio show covering amateur athletics.
